WHAT DOES JESUS CHRIST SAY ABOUT CORONAVIRUS -
COVID19 PANDEMIC?

Many people have been facing confusion, uncertainty, fear, and even

the feeling to hold back amidst Novel Coronavirus 2019 or NCOV19 or

COVID19 pandemic. This prompts people of seeking comfort on divine

providence of the Bible, heavenly intervention and the like. 

Needless to say, a lot of us may also believe especially those who have read the Bible

that a pandemic such as the coronavirus disease could be a biblical clue of fate?

But what does the Bible tell us, or have you come up to think

“What Jesus Christ Say about Coronavirus? 

Some Christians claimed online that there are prophetic passages and messages

that can be linked to this pandemic and some commonly mentioned passages

are Matthew 24, 2 Chronicles 7, Isaiah 41, etc. In most online articles

spreading online, these are somewhat the messages which through the Bible,

Jesus Christ would convey about this "occurrence in which a disease spreads

very quickly and affects a large number of people over a wide area

or throughout the world." 

The #covid19 outbreak according to Matthew Maas on Twitter: "Corona or the

'coronavirus' that is pandemic is found in the Bible, in Matthew 24:6-8.

Jesus loves you!"

The scripture reflects, "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom

against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes,

in divers places. All these are the beginnings of sorrows."

The passage is attributed to Jesus Christ who told his followers what to expect

before his second coming. Somehow, only a small portion of what has yet to

come in the near future. “Don't fear but continue to abide in Christ" as most

online articles depicted in social media.

Another passage in 2 Chronicles 7:12-14, tells us the same context of Love,

that “12 - The LORD appeared to him at night and said: “I have heard your

prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices. 

13 - When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts

to devour the land or send a plague among my people, 14 - If my people,

who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face

and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive

heir sin and will heal their land.”

While in Isaiah 41:10, His love assures, "Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed,

for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with

My righteous right hand." 

According to scientists and medical researchers who have for years

differentiated the exact definition of a pandemic can be seen in scientific and

biblical writings. Nevertheless, they may seem to agree that “the widespread

occurrence of disease such as the #Coronavirus, in excess of what might normally

be expected in a geographical region” describes this outbreak that was unknown

until it began in Wuhan China (WHO, 2019). Only this new outbreak so far

has reached an epidemic, then into a pandemic level. This Novel Coronavirus

disease or #COVID-19 has spread across the world and

has been trending now online especially in social media. No matter how people

around the world in this modern era copes and passes through

this infectious disease outbreak, contagion or “pandemic”

which according to some reports, may have replete human history. 

I suggest, you, for the first time, or continue to read the "Bible”

and all other spiritual readings, holy writings, sacred scriptures or prophetic books

in accordance with your faith. While at the same time adhering

to your respective government. Such will help you enhance your understanding

and guide you amidst the pandemic. One twit of a user on Twitter said:

"The Four Horsemen of Apocalypse representing War, Famine, Pestilence,

and Death depicted in the Bible on Revelation 6:2-8 are most likely causing

this coronavirus worldwide.” The Book of Revelation is the last book of the Bible.

So, with this coronavirus contagion, all of us worldwide may have become aware

of the recommended and best practices during a disease outbreak or pandemic,

from basic personal hygiene, hand-washing, self-isolation to social distancing

to staying at home. Perhaps to thrive, obedience coupled with strong conviction

has to be included in this observance across the globe. Which most countries now

have adapted the community quarantine, stay-at-home measures, and

mandatory-lockdown like in the Philippines. The love of survivability

for the human race to endure #COVID19 became the primary concern

of most countries worldwide. And the thinking that, ”Jesus came to this world

to redeem us from sin, death, and sickness, the same today, as he was then,

and he still lives on earth through his Holy Spirit in us.”

Indeed Jesus wants to say the gospel in words through us, and to heal the sick!

Jesus proclaims to save people from suffering and to set them free from captivity

and sickness - this, what Jesus said about coronavirus! 

This Coronavirus or COVID19 is a reminder to us all of that regardless of

our social standing financial position, religious inclinations, spiritual belief, and

physical wellness, we all have to renew and solidify ourselves amidst the contagion.

Each of us to hold on to our faith and of the power of Jesus Christ's love for us all

to continue our resilience as He himself heals us in this World! 

Remember that you have been graced by His power,

the art of love and compassion. This is Jesus Christ's wake up message

especially for Christians to take the best interest common to all

as a part of your own conviction - without sacrificing your own best interest

and the love for the welfare of others. You can overcome #coronavirus

abound the same love and compassion of being a joy-giver, sharing your resources

to your fellows who are in need as much as you do.

Finally, pointing more people to receive Jesus Christ as a genuine symbol of love. 

So as Jesus Christ Say about the Coronavirus,

we all have to choose"LOVE" above all else!

Despite what is happening to us all nowadays, it is your turn to replicate

the message of "Love" from Jesus Christ - starting from you and towards others.
